You can put hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and use it to wipe down your bathroom walls, sink, and shower to prevent and remove mold.
But it works best to remove mold from porous materials, like woven furniture.
Using Vinegar to Naturally Kill Mold
Vinegar is another multi-use household product that comes in very handy for cleaning.
Vinegar is extremely versatile if you are looking for natural cleaning products. It is inexpensive and Its antibacterial acidic characteristics are exactly what you need to get the job done.
One of the things that vinegar cleans and removes very well is mold.
Put your undiluted vinegar in a spray bottle, spray it on any mold-problem areas in your home and let it sit for an hour. After an hour come back and wipe it away and your mold problems should be over.
If that doesn’t work you may need to dip a toothbrush in vinegar and give it a good scrub.
Lemons aren’t just good for cooking, they can come in very handy for cleaning up around the house and making it smell good too.
Although lemons are not the strongest cleaners when it comes to mold removal, they do help!
To use lemons for mold removal, simply juice several lemons and pour them over the affected surface.
Leave the juice to sit for five minutes and come back to mold-free, clean, and disinfected surfaces that smell great!
For optimal cleaning, mix lemon juice with any dish or hand soap and scrub away.
Baking Soda – One of the Best Natural Mold Killers and Preventors
Baking soda can also come in handy for removing mold from around your home. It is the safest around kids and pets.
It is also famous for its prevention of mold. We often place a box of baking soda in our fridge.
To clean mix baking soda with water in a spray bottle and spray it on the affected areas. Let it sit for a few minutes and come back with a scrub brush and a towel to wipe the baking soda residue away.
If you have a particularly stubborn spot of mold make a paste with water and baking soda and put it on the molded area.
Use your spray bottle with vinegar on the baking soda for a double whammy to that stubborn mold.
Essential oils can be used for a variety of things around the home from making it smell nice, to disinfecting, and even treating a variety of common illnesses like colds and headaches.

You guessed it, you can use it to kill and prevent mold from coming back.
Tea tree oil, clove oil, thyme oil, and cinnamon oil all kill mold and keep it from coming back. Combine a teaspoon of your preferred essential oil with a cup of water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray the affected area and let it sit for one hour.
After an hour, wipe it away with a clean, dry towel.
The mold will be gone and your home will smell nice too!
