Itโs straightforward to make, after all, it is semi-homemade. And if the recipe is too big, itโs easy to cut in half. I like to use store-bought Apple Cider for my recipe instead of making my own. It is what I call the cheater’s version.
After all, who has time for that? It is the busiest time of the year. I am all about shortcuts. Easy peasy! Not only will you have a delicious drink to share with your friends and family, but your house will smell amazing, or as my husband says โlike Christmas!โ
A little Wassail History Lesson
Wassail is a traditional drink that is served warm or spiked apple cider punch. It is served as a toast on Christmas or New Year – โto your healthโ. But besides drinking it for your health, I just like to drink it when is it cold outside.
This recipe excludes the “spiked” version. I will let you choose whether or not, you want a little something extra in your beverage. That was what I wanted to make. Not only will it warm you up and it will also make your house smell amazing, too.
Ingredients Needed
- 8 cups Apple Cider
- 2 cup Orange juice – I prefer no pulp
