No need to make an extra shopping trip or order for stocking stuffers ideas. You can just do it next time you grocery shop! Here is a great list of stocking stuffer ideas you can find at your local grocery store.
Stocking Stuffer Ideas You Can Get from the Grocery Store
There’s just something about the magic of early Christmas morning when stockings are hung with care and filled with colorful treats.
I am going to take a guess here and say you will probably be making more than a few trips to the grocery store over the next few weeks.
Whether you are shopping for a few items you need or to refill your pantry, more than likely, you will pass by some really cool items that make great stocking stuffers.
While you’re there, consider browsing the aisles to pick up a few stocking stuffers. They are a particularly good place to pick up very practical items that people will actually use.
Here are just a few of the great stocking stuffers you can get at any grocery store.
Talk about making your time more efficient.
Chapsticks & Lipgloss
With winter comes chapped lips. These are commonly found stocking stuffers if you live in a state that gets snowy and cold weather.
You can pick up a pack for everyone on your list. Girls love fruit flavors, and boys tend to go peppermint, Carmax spearmint, and if you kind find it root beer.
My personal favorites are Carmax and Nivea brands.
Bath Bombs
Bath bombs are so fun.
And YES!
Your grocery store carries them in the health and beauty section of your store. Bath Bombs are so popular right now and are the perfect size for a stocking!
Hot Chocolate
It’s hardly a secret — most everyone loves chocolate.
This year you can keep them warm by grabbing a box full of hot chocolate packets and dividing it up between stockings.
Hot Chocolate is a cozy drink to enjoy while watching the snow fly.
And right now I bet you can even find giant versions of your favorite candy. Like Hershey Kisses to Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.
Specialty Chocolates – Great Stocking Stuffer Ideas
When shopping at the grocery store, you can find specialty chocolate from traditional favorites to unique, whimsical novelty bars.
There are so many choices and are sure to be fun surprises for everyone on your list.
Gum
Gum is always a fun stocking stuffer idea.
I don’t know anyone who would turn a pack of gum done. There are so many great flavors and brands.
And if you want to turn a packet of gum into a more special stocking stuffer, here is a great craft idea from Glue to My Crafts Blog.
Snacks
Don’t overlook the joy a good snack can bring! Sunflower seeds, gummies, white chocolate-covered pretzels, trail mix, or corn nuts.
Food is always a big hit, especially with the teens.
The only downside is they most like won’t last longer than a few hours. Snacks get eaten fast in our home and I am sure yours too.
Coffee & Tea
I don’t know anyone who would not enjoy coffee or tea in their stocking.
You can choose from their locally sourced, fair trade, or name-brand options.
And expect to find a great selection, choosing from warm and inviting flavors like chamomile tea, cinnamon spice tea, or hazelnut coffee.
Fun Pens, Markers & Office Supplies
Growing up I loved a good pen. It may be the writer in me showing.
But good pens, markers, and unique office supplies can make great stocking stuffer ideas. Kids love flare pens and gel pens.
Hand Lotion
Everyone is on the go and small three-ounce squeeze containers of lotion make really wonderful gifts. You can often find seasonal scents.
They fit perfectly in car cup holders, office drawers, and, of course, your purse.
Beauty, Nail Polish & Cosmetics
Your grocery store covers a wide arrangement of beauty products.
Girls love a good nail polish or facial mask. Boys love a great-smelling body spray.
Lately, I have been finding a section of locally handmade soaps.
Plus, while shopping in this area, you can pick up some hair scrunchies, hair bows, or make-up.
Electric Toothbrushes
Kids get a big kick out of electric toothbrushes.
While manual toothbrushes are tried and true, many people find that an electric toothbrush is more enjoyable to use.
And if you know your loved one already has an electric toothbrush, get them a pack of replacement brush heads!
Gift cards
At the grocery store, you can find a gift card for basically anything a person might want to use.
Starbucks, iTunes, and Amazon are popular options.
You could also get a gift card to the grocery store itself, which could be extremely useful because then people can use it to buy useful stuff like actual groceries.
And to make it a stocking stuffer, you don’t need to add more than $10 on your gift card.
And around the Holiday many grocery stores are offering bonuses for purchasing gift cards.
