Customize your Halloween candle

Height – You don’t have to keep all the candles the same size. Decide how tall you want each candle to be, and then use your fingers to tear or use scissors to cut the top of a toilet paper (or paper towel) roll to that height.

Candle Flame – After creating the candle flame for a more realistic look crinkle the paper slightly.

Placement – These candles work especially well when used as centerpieces for your dining table or as accents on shelves and mantels. You can also hang them from ceilings or trees for a haunting outdoor display. The possibilities are endless, and the result is sure to impress your guests and create a festive atmosphere.

Instructions

STEP ONE: Prepare the toilet paper rolls: Start by cutting the toilet paper rolls into various sizes. You can create candles of different heights to add visual interest to your Halloween decor.

STEP TWO: Then, you will need to paint the toilet paper roll with black paint. Then set it aside and let it dry.

STEP THREE: Next, print and cut the template for the candle fire then trace it to the corresponding papers. Then cut each one out.

STEP FOUR: Attach them together to make the candle fire. Then glue a small strip to the bottom. Don’t forget to slightly crinkle the paper for a more realistic look.

STEP FIVE: Now you are ready to cut a circle for the top of the candle. This will hold the flame. Trace a circle using your toilet paper roll as your template. Then cut it out and attach it to the top of your toilet paper roll. Attach the candle fire at the top where the yellow paper lies.

Now it is starting to come together.

STEP SIX: At this point, you can choose to paint the yellow paper, which is what I did, or leave it as it is. If you decide to paint the top make sure it is completely dry before moving on to the next step.

To make the candle look as if it is melting, add hot glue to the top and allow it to drip down the side. Be careful working with the hot glue, you can easily burn your hand.

STEP SEVEN: Lastly, to add dimension to the dripping candle, paint the edges black. Then you are all done.

With just a few simple materials and a dash of creativity, you can create stunning and unique Halloween candles using repurposed toilet paper rolls.

Not only will these DIY candles add a special touch to your decor, but they are also budget-friendly and eco-friendly. So, why wait?
