One of the many things the kids and I love to do together is to make easy pretzel snack recipes. What Minion party wouldn’t be complete without a little treat to eat? If you’re looking for quick and easy Minions snacks to make, then these simple Candy Pretzel Snacks.
I guarantee it will be perfect for you. After all, as busy mamas, we just don’t have the time. Therefore, these take just a couple of ingredients and can be made in under 5 minutes! Minion fans will be begging for more treats, but no worries, you can whip up another batch quickly. Rather, the kids can do this all on their own with little supervision.

- Snyder Pretzel Snaps
- Wilton Yellow Candy Melts
- Wilton Blue Candy Melts
- Wilton Candy Eyes (small size)
First, let’s start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.
Now gather all your cooking supplies. The great thing about this recipe is that there are not many items needed. Place your pretzels on a baking sheet.
Then you will want to place a candy melt in the middle of each pretzel. It is okay to snack on a few of them. Shhhhh… I won’t tell. This is the part my kids like to take over.
Let them have fun picking and choosing which colored candy melts they want to use.
Which is your favorite from the main trio -Kevin, Stuart, or Bob? I love them all. They are all so much fun. Don’t forget to ask your kids about their favorite minion.
Time to hit the oven for a few minutes. These pretzel snacks are coming together nicely.
Next, bake them for 5 minutes or until the candy begins to melt (this goes quickly, so keep an eye on it). This is not the time to get caught up on social media or start another project.
Make sure you are close to the oven. You can easily go from cute minions to pretzels swimming in colored chocolate melts.
Immediately add a candy eye to each pretzel.
I would not have your kids do this unless they are using tweezers or small tongs to place the googly eyes in place.
We don’t want burnt little fingers. Do this while the candy melts are still soft enough to press the candy eyes into. There you go… You finally have finished your Candy Pretzel Snack. Let cool completely. Serve and Enjoy. Time to get your Minion Party started.
Can I Freeze Chocolate Candy Covered Pretzels?
Freezing might make the pretzels go stale more quickly, so I do not recommend it. This recipe works best at room temperature or refrigerated. Keep in mind if it’s too warm, the chocolate will start to melt. Making for some sticky, messy fingers.
Tips for Chocolate Candy-Covered Pretzels
- Don’t leave these in sunlight or in a warm room. Don’t change the chocolate. Melting chocolate makes for a big mess.
- Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
- For a fun, Christmastime treats, swap out the candy melts for red and white ones. Minions like to change outfits every so often.
- Most importantly, just have fun making these with the kids.
