Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for Little Debbie Creme Pie Ice Cream. This recipe is so much simpler than you would think. Anytime I think of ice cream, I always think you have to have an ice cream maker. Not with this recipe.
With just a few simple ingredients and your favorite Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, you can make delicious ice cream or try your hand at this No Churn Cookie Dough Ice Cream Recipe.
No churn is the easiest way to make ice cream without an ice cream machine. Most homemade ice creams start with an egg custard base that is cooked and tended. This recipe skips many of these complex steps.
Instead, to create a deliciously smooth texture I use sweetened condensed. Now, the hardest part of this recipe is the wait. Let’s get started making some homemade ice cream.
Ingredients Needed For Little Debbie’s Oatmeal Creme Ice Cream:
Please note you can use any type of milk in this recipe, but lower-fat milk such as skim milk will result in less creamy ice cream. However, sweetened condensed milk is best.
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup of milk
- One tablespoon Molasses
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
- 4 Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies
How to make this No-Churn Oatmeal Creme Pie Ice Cream
Step One. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form typically 6 to 8 minutes. Do not over-whip, it will create a grainy texture, and anything beyond this point will be butter.
Step Two. Next, add the condensed milk, milk, vanilla, and molasses to your bowl. Mix until well incorporated..
Step Three. Chop all four the Little Debbie creme pies into pieces. Save a few to garnish the top. Then fold the rest into your ice cream base.
Step Four. Now you are ready to pour the ice cream mixture into a 1-quart bread pan and cover the top with plastic wrap.
Step Five: Top with a few Oatmeal Creme Pie pieces.
Step Six: It is best to freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours. In addition, if you can wait longer, overnight is better. Be prepared to enjoy this delicious twist on a classic childhood snack.
How to Serve?
This creamy ice cream will be fantastic for hot summer days in a bowl by itself or scooped on top of a cone. You can serve with additional oatmeal cream pies, like my kids. They sandwich their ice cream between two more cookies for the ultimate flavor explosion.
I can’t lie. It is tempting.
How to store your No-Churn Ice Cream
Once your ice cream is ready to freeze, store it in an air-tight container or a container wrapped with plastic. When ready to serve, take it out for about 5 minutes before you plan to scoop it. This will give it a bit of time to thaw.
Then place it back in the freezer immediately after serving. Just a quick note: the texture may change if the ice cream is taken out and put back in the freezer too many times. If it lasts this long in your house.
