And some of us may be stuck or maybe a little confused about all these newer kitchen gadgets and tools. I was once too. Then I got down to the simplicity of what I really needed and used, as opposed to all trends. Absolutely, I would love an instant pot, but I soon realized I already had each component.

So I wasn’t ready to just dump all my loved on kitchen tools. If you are looking to pare down your gadgets, it makes sense to find a kitchen appliance that incorporates all your needs. But I wasn’t ready to do this. Planning and prepping your meals ahead of time can help you to save both time and money.

However, preparing your meals in advance can be a little time-consuming if you donโ€™t have the right tools for the job. Thatโ€™s why you will find a list here of must-have kitchen tools that will make your meal prep easier and faster. After all, eating well at home is important. Mandolin Slicer

If your meals involve lots of salads and fresh vegetables, then a mandolin slicer can help you to save lots of time and make your meal prep easier. Mandolins can be used to slice potatoes, onions, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and more.

Most mandolins will allow you to adjust the thickness of the slices that you will end up with. Zipping your vegetables across the mandolin is generally faster than having to take a knife to all of them, and your slices will be consistent in size.ย 

Slow Cooker or Instant Pot

Slow cookers and instant pots are great kitchen tools that can help make your meal prep easier. Is there anything better than walking in the door after a long day of work and school to the smell of an amazing home-cooked meal?

Have you ever had a baggie fall over while pouring liquid in? It’s not fun! Baggie stands are something I never knew I needed until I used them. I saw one of my peer bloggers talking about them and it really piqued my interest.

These are the extra hands you need without having to grab a family member to help. Having them makes my life so much easier when I meal prep!!

Reusable Storage Bags

I use a TON of baggies in meal prep!! And let me just say the ones you use for one-time use will not cut it. I have had more than my fair share of freezer spills and poked holes, and I made it my mission to find a better solution.

These reusable bags eliminate the overwhelming amount of plastic being thrown away, but also the overwhelming amount of baggies Iโ€™m buying every month!

Quality Knife Set

For your meal prep to be as efficient and easy as possible, then you have to have the most important kitchen tool…a good set of quality knives. You donโ€™t have to spend a fortune on knives to get a quality set that will serve you for years to come.

At a minimum, your knife set should include a chef’s knife, paring knife, boning knife, and a bread knife, and many sets come with quite a few more than that. 

Souper Cubes

If your family enjoys soups, stews, or sauces, then Souper Cubes is a kitchen tool that you need to make your meal prep easier. These silicone molds allow you to easily freeze your soups and sauces into usable portions for when you need them in the future.

  1. Even though i am a guy, it’s funny but I actually enjoy using these kind of kitchen tools. Every time I will come across a shopping channel on tv, i was there watching and paying attention on how they work haha. I would love to have that instant pot!
