Kids Eat Free Halloween Deals & Restaurant Discounts

This Halloween, before the kids head out trick-or-treating, fill them up on a yummy meal. You will want to check out this list of Kids Eat Free on Halloween.

Kids dressed up for Halloween. Kids eat for free on Halloween

Halloween is right around the corner, and if you’re already planning costumes, trick-or-treating, and all the spooky fun, there’s one more thing to add to your list: dinner! Before the kids head out in their costumes to collect their favorite Halloween treats, save yourself some time in the kitchen and take advantage of these kids eat free offers and restaurant discounts.

Several restaurants offer special Halloween promotions that can help families save on a meal before or after trick-or-treating. Some deals include a free kids’ meal, while others offer discounts that can help lower the cost of feeding the whole family.

As always, restaurant promotions can vary by location and may have specific dates, times, or purchase requirements. I recommend calling your local restaurant before heading out to confirm that they are participating.

And don’t forget to check for other Halloween food deals, too. Some promotions are available for adults as well, making it possible for the whole family to save!

Kids 12 and under eat free on Wednesdays when you purchase an adult meal consisting of an entrée, side, and drink. The promotion is available at participating locations and is currently scheduled to run through December 31, 2026.

That makes this another deal worth checking if you’re planning a Halloween-week dinner rather than eating out specifically on October 31.

This isn’t technically a kids-eat-free offer, but it can still be a great family dining deal.

Shake Shack is running its Scary Good Deals promotion throughout October 2026. From October 19 through October 31, customers can get a free Single ShackBurger with a qualifying $10 purchase when using promo code SCARYGOOD at participating locations.

Halloween Deals to Watch For

Some restaurant chains have offered special Halloween kids’ meal promotions in previous years, but I don’t want to list an old offer as a confirmed 2026 deal before the restaurant announces it.

For example, Applebee’s has offered free kids’ meals to costumed children on Halloween at participating locations in previous years, including locations in New York. However, the current Applebee’s 2026 Halloween announcements confirm seasonal food and drink promotions but do not provide a nationwide Halloween kids-eat-free offer.

The same goes for several other popular Halloween promotions. Deals can return from year to year, but participation, dates, purchase requirements, and even whether a promotion runs at all can change.

My advice? Check your local restaurant’s website, app, Facebook page, or rewards account a few days before Halloween. That’s often where franchise-specific Halloween promotions appear first.

More Halloween Food Deals for the Whole Family

Kids aren’t the only ones who can save money during Halloween. Several restaurants are offering seasonal promotions that can help lower the cost of feeding the family.

Applebee’s Halloween Drinks and Mocktails

Applebee’s is bringing back its Halloween-themed Spooky Sips in 2026. The lineup includes $6 Halloween cocktails along with alcohol-free options, including a $4 Tropical Spell Mocktail.

If you’re dining with older kids or teens, the mocktail options give them a festive drink without the alcohol.

Red Robin: Free Sundae for Costumed Kids

Red Robin’s Halloween promotion gives kids ages 11 and under a free sundae when they dine in costume and purchase a kids’ meal.

The 2026 promotion is scheduled for October 29 through November 1 at participating locations.

This isn’t a free meal, but it’s a fun way to add a Halloween treat without paying extra for dessert.

Rainforest Cafe: 99-Cent Kids’ Meal

Rainforest Cafe is offering a 99-cent kids’ meal on October 7, 2026, from 5 p.m. until close with the purchase of an adult entrĂ©e.

The offer is for children 10 and under and is limited to one discounted kids’ meal per adult entrĂ©e. Some locations are excluded, so check before visiting.

Don’t Forget to Check Local Restaurants

National chains get most of the attention, but your local restaurants may have some of the best Halloween deals.

I have seen individual restaurants offer free kids’ meals for children in costume, discounted kids’ meals, free desserts, and other Halloween specials. These promotions are often location-specific, so they may not show up on a chain’s national website.

Before heading out, check:

  • Your local restaurant’s Facebook page
  • The restaurant’s website
  • The restaurant’s rewards app
  • Local community Facebook groups
  • Your email for restaurant coupons
  • The restaurant’s Google listing

And remember that “kids eat free” doesn’t always mean there are no other requirements. Many promotions require the purchase of an adult entrĂ©e, have age restrictions, are dine-in only, or limit the number of free kids’ meals per table.

Tips for Saving More on Your Halloween Meal

Halloween can get expensive quickly between costumes, candy, decorations, and dinner. A little planning can help.

Check the fine print. A deal may only be available at participating locations or require a specific purchase.

Use restaurant apps. Some of the best promotions are exclusive to rewards members and appear only in the app.

Feed the kids before trick-or-treating. Not only can a restaurant deal save money, but a full meal before heading out may help keep everyone from digging into the Halloween candy before you’ve even left the house.

Look for family-size meals. If a kids-eat-free promotion isn’t available, a family meal or bundle can sometimes be less expensive than ordering several individual meals.

Don’t forget dessert deals. A free sundae or Frosty can be an inexpensive way to give the kids a Halloween treat without buying another full meal.

Call ahead. This is especially important with franchise restaurants. Just because one location participates doesn’t mean every location does.

More Halloween Savings

Looking for even more ways to save this Halloween? I’ll continue adding new restaurant promotions and family-friendly deals as they are announced.

And don’t forget about Wendy’s Boo! Books. For only $1, you get five free Jr. Frosty coupons plus a $1.99 Kids’ Meal coupon with purchase—and you’re helping support the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption at the same time.

Halloween is already expensive enough. If someone else is willing to feed your little ghosts and goblins for less, I’m all for it!
