Did you know that Ocean State store properties are typically opened after the closing of a major grocery store chain or discount store that used to be located? In fact, they also use the previous store’s fixtures (checkout counters, checkout lane number lights, etc.) Wherever possible to cut costs and bring the savings to you. Their store offers a “no bones” approach.
Not only does Ocean State’s name come from Rhode Island’s nickname, “The Ocean State”, but it is where their first stores originated from. They now have over 150+ stores, five of which are located in the capital district of New York State.
Why The Savings are SO BIG!
Ocean State acquires many brand-name goods whose manufacturers will sell them at a loss following overstocking or discontinuation of products. Not all products are purchased in this manner. They have many new items (not just closeout or overstocked products) that they use to fill their shelves that they restock regularly.
