Ingredients Needed

Please note that a full list of ingredients and a printable version of this recipe is available below.

  • Italian Meatballs – For this recipe and for my sanity, I chose to purchase frozen Italian meatballs. It is one less step and mess I have to create. Frozen Meatballs: The type of meatballs you want to use is up to you. I like to use a meatball mix, but you can purchase lean ground beef meatballs, turkey meatballs, chicken meatballs, or a sausage meatball mixture. However, if you choose, you could make meatballs from scratch.
  • French Onion Soup – You can make my favorite homemade version or purchase store brand. This
  • Beef broth. Ketchup & Worcestershire Sauce – Create the base for the sauce. This combination will provide enough liquid for the egg noodles to absorb.
  • Garlic powder, Salt & Pepper – Are the seasonings I used to jazz up this recipe.
  • Egg noodles – One of my favorite pastas. They add a richer, more savory flavor and texture compared to other types of noodles and absorb the sauce flavors well.

Additional Add-In: Fresh sliced mushrooms, chopped onions

    1. Hi Lucille,

I completely understand. You can decrease the salt by choosing a different brands meatballs or by making them from scratch. You could also choice to use low sodium Worcestershire sauce. All of these changes will drastically reduce the salt intake for this meal.
