While the Freeosk brand has been around since 2010, founded by Matt Eichorn.

Obviously, this partnership went over so well that they continued to grow into more Sam’s Clubs and Walmart stores. Now a few grocery stores, including Giant Eagle and Meijer, have also jumped on board with Freeosk.

  1. So no more little stations to try out products, to sample them, and get a coupon for them immediately? So how does this work for all those yummy things we want to sample or does this machine also spread the product’s aromas? Does this machine give you a smile and a chat? Oh right you need to scan your data before you get something taking all the humanity and person-to-person contact out of shopping!

  2. Hi Jen,
I enjoyed going into the three local WalMarts in my area to get the samples. Then one day, less than 3 weeks ago, the Freeosks disappeared. No one knows why. Do you have a clue why Fredericksburg and Stafford area, VA lost the Freeosks in the middle of the night. I kinda feel like the old Cleveland Brown football team, just upped and move under the cloak of darkness.

    1. OH WOW!!! Warren, I have no clue. I don’t work for Walmart. Just a blogger spreading cheering about deals. I am so sorry this happened to your store. I would ask at customer service. I am curious to know myself why they were pulled.
