Items a Couponer Should NEVER Pay For!
They say that nothing in life is FREE, until you become a couponer. Seriously, come learn the items a couponer should never pay for. I know that is not the exact quote, but it is true. Once you become a true couponer there are a select number of items that you will never ever have to pay for. I MEAN not even a cent. If you pay even a penny you are paying too much.
When you first start out couponing my number one rule is to start slowly. Please don’t feel that you have to sprint to every sale. If you do, guaranteed you will reach your burn out state much quicker and may even want to give up couponing altogether. Couponing is a lifestyle change. Just like dieting (ops, I mean eating healthier).
You recognize that saving money is a MUST for your family. Changing your budget can start with just one coupon. After that, you start to realize how much of a difference it can make. Not to mention, how easy it is and fun. The key is to get organized I like to use this handy couponing organizer while I shop.
Your first attempt is to knock down your grocery bill to 50% and YES you can do it. How?? By meal planning, (planning your meals based on the sales ad), shopping the sales and using coupons. When you first start, I WANT you to really concentrate on purchasing only those items that are free as well as your weekly needs. This is when and how you build your stockpile.
So what are you purchasing for FREE???
These are the items a true super saving couponer will never pay a cent on. Over the years I have purchased many other items that have been free, but consistently these are the items that are frequently purchased. All items listed below will have been purchased with coupons.

Toothpaste is definitely my first one. I haven’t paid for toothpaste in over a year now!
I have to get better on some of these. Although, i never pay over a dollar for a box of pasta, so that’s a step in the right direction.

It seems that free pasta is becoming more of a rarity. I used to pick it up all the time as free, but not as much anymore.
